It leads the application of digital technologies throughout the project lifecycle, enabling project management teams to monitor the real-time progress and performance of projects through the Digital Works Supervision System, the Digital Project Delivery System and the Integrated Capital Works Platform, with a view to further enhancing the efficiency of public works project management. We are also formulating policies to promote the application of digital twins in major infrastructure projects by works departments. Through Internet of Things sensors and digital systems, the condition and performance of infrastructure facilities can be monitored in real time, assisting departments in making timely decisions and enhancing cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
PSGO is pressing ahead with the digitalisation of the project cost management process. The Project Cost Management Platform will be launched in phases from 2026 to enable the Development Bureau, policy bureaux and departments to manage the cost vetting workflows for public works on a centralised digital platform. This will reduce duplicate data entry and streamline the vetting procedures, thereby enhancing the efficiency of the project cost management process. In addition, the platform will collect information such as key project cost data and design optimisation proposals to establish a centralised database, with a view to developing more cost-effective design optimisation proposals through the application of artificial intelligence and technical analysis.
